OR Consulting are the building services and environmental engineers for the refurbishment and extension of a 19th Century coach house on Weir Road in Balham, London to provide a new head office for Spanish foods company Brindisa Ltd.

The project converted the largely disused building into three open plan office spaces with an additional storey and a new reception area. The new spaces provide an alternative to the current offices within the warehouse of Brindisa, creating bright and airy areas with an elegant design for the employees of Brindisa.

We designed the offices to be naturally ventilated, coupling high performance fabric with high efficiency heat pumps, minimising heat losses while creating a comfortable and flexible environment for its occupants. The heating and cooling system is simple to use, where temperatures can be adjusted by occupants if and when necessary.
