OR Consulting acted as the M&E services consultants for two innovative occupational therapy spaces for children at the Royal London Children’s Hospital in Whitechapel.

The two ‘play’ spaces were designed to provide a respite from the challenges of treatment for the patients and their families.

The indoor play space provides an innovative environment, incorporating audiovisual technologies to allow patients and their families to experience recreation time together. Whilst the outdoor space is located at roof level and incorporates a unique sound/art installation, an observatory platform, gardening and art therapy spaces.

OR Consulting’s role was to adapt existing services installations to support these facilities and design stand alone lighting, fire alarm, irrigation and environmental solutions to realise the creative goals of the project.
