Clwb lfor Bach is a focal point of Cardiff’s live and grassroots music scene.

OR Consulting are appointed as environment and acoustic designers for the refurbishment and extension of this inspiring music venue.

The project seeks to:

• Upgrade the environmental, acoustic and aesthetic performance of the venue, whilst retaining the charisma of the existing building.
• Increase the capacity of the venue.
• Form new external spaces at roof level.
• Improve the experience and comfort of visitors.
• Improve accessibility.
• Provide excellent sound quality for live bands and club nights.
• Create atmospheric, practical and flexible lighting throughout.
• Upgrade all building services installations to minimise carbon emissions.
• Minimise the acoustic impact of the Clwb on the surrounding areas.
• Improve back of house facilities for both artists and staff.
• Provide improved and robust WC facilities.
